Hi to all!
Just want you to know how pleased we are that your little grandson has arrived. We're so happy for all of you and I do hope everthings O.K with him and his new Mommy. I know Davy was excited, certainly he had a right to be. I just howled when Allen told me Betty left immediately for Austin. I know I would've done the same thing. I got excited just thinking about it! Hope she took some pictures we'll be anxious to see them.
Don't know anymore news -- the baby's arrival was the latest "happening". Had James & Ora Lee over for sphagetti the week after y'all were here. We at then played some dominoes, then ate some more, we really enjoyed it, hopefully they did too. I do love that couple! They are a real inspiration to me.
Our eldest has dropped out of college & is working construction at the present. Needless to say, we are very, very unhappy with him, but that doesn't seem to bother him too much. He says he wants to work through the summer then go to Sam H. in the fall. We don't expect that to materialize, but we're trying to think positively (and hopefully!) Not that we think college is the only thing, but we do feel that a boy with a degree has a better chance for advancement and can go in one of several directions career wise but you about "leading that horse to water...."! To make matter worse he's in love! Nothing serious -- at least I Hope it's nothing serious. She's a senior & her folks have lofty ideas of her going to college etc. So I'm not worried about any future developments. (Everything after so is a lie!) HA!
I must go -- I'm supposed to be studying for a test, but this is a lot more fun than studying. Never-the-less I'd better hit the books! Tell Davy & Brenda "hello" for us. I hope to get a note off to them right away, but you'll probably be talking to them in the next day or so. __ Notice the picture of the horse I'm enclosing since David likes horses. I knew he would appreciate seeing this one! -- Really I must go! Do let us from you. We love you -- Winne & Crew
