David Wayne Elliott was born August 8th, 195 to David and Betty Elliott, in Fort Worth, Texas.

The family moved to Conroe,Texas, where he attended kindergarten and first grade. They moved to Van Vleck, Texas, in ____, where he attended school from 2nd through 8th grade. They then moved to Hull, Texas in 1968, where he attended high school. During his time here, he met Brenda Glover. He entered the Air Force, going first to San Antonio for Basic Training, then to Chanute AFB, Illinois, for training as a weather radar technician. During his training at Chanute, he came home on leave and he and Brenda were married on Apr ___ 1974. After graduating training at Chanute AFB, he and Brenda moved to his first duty station, in Mrytle Beach, South Carolina. He was stationed at Mrytle Beach Air Force Base, until ____ when he requested a stateside transfer to Bergstrom AFB in Austin, Texas, in order to be closer to his wife's family, as she had gotten homesick being so far away.

During the move from Myrtle Beach to Austin, or shortly after, Brenda became pregnant with their son, John. After his birth, their marriage started to fall apart, and Brenda eventually left to move back to Hull to be with family, leaving John in the care of David.

They had a contentious divorce, eventually ending the marriage legally on ____ ___ ____. David was awarded primary custody of John, with Brenda having John for major holidays and a period of time during the summer, and usually monthly visits.

In ____, David left the Air Force, finding employment as an electrician.

In 198__, he met Rita Johnson. They dated for several years, during which David decided to go back to school and continue his education, enrolling at Austin Community College, graduating with an Associates Degree in Communication in 198_

David and Rita married on ___ __, 198_. After the marriage, she applied to the Unity Ministerial Education program, being accepted for the program to become a minister. In 1989, the family moved to Missouri so she could begin her studies.

After they moved to Missouri, David found employment with a local electrical company, before applying for a position at Unity Village, where he worked for the Inside Maintenance department. After a few years in that position, he became the supervisor for the entire Inside Maintenance department.

Within a year of moving to Missouri, the marriage fell apart, and they divorced.

David then met and started dating Nancy Smith, a woman with a pre-teen daughter, Madeline, and a toddler son, Alex. They soon moved into her house in Blue Springs. Within 6 months after they met, they married, not informing any family except their children.

Within a few years of the marriage, it was clear that they were not ultimately compatible, which was also exacerbated by the contentious relationship between her daughter and John. They divorced fairly amiably. After the divorce, David continued to be a constant present in her son Alex's life, treating him as if he was his own son.

David and John moved to a duplex in Blue Springs, where they would stay until 1994. They then moved into a mobile home on property owned by Unity Village, not far from the main campus.

David applied for a position in the Composition department at Unity, creating articles and pamphlets for the various writings that Unity published on a regular basis.

While employed in the Composition department, David mentioned during a conversation with his boss that he was interested in continuing his education, but that finances were a hindrance to that goal. Shortly after, he received notice that he was being awarded a scholarship paid for by Unity to enroll in college.
