There were 14 children in all. Two died at an early age
Four Robbins brothers came to America from England in the early days. They were Scotch-British. All the Robbins in America are kin to them. This is according to the facts found by the professional Walter Robbins, youngest son of William Arthur and Mary Frances Bishop, hired to trace the family. After several generations and nearly one hundred fifty years, the descendants of the brother who is OUR ancestor, move to Kentucky. Later, William Arthur and Mary Frances Robbins moved to land he bought near Putnam, Texas. They built a big, two-story house there. He died of measles while still a young man. He was followed in death many years later by Mary Frances. She died in Abilene, Texas, They had fourteen children.
Mary Frances' grandmother was a German. Her last name was Eisenhower.
The Robbins brother from whom our family is descended married an Indian girl - Cherokee, I think.
